It’s been forever since I’ve blogged… and some say that blogging is dead but I actually love seeing all the images from the day laid out in a good old-fashioned blog post. I’ve had such a busy fall that I’m finally getting a chance to go back through the year and relive all the amazing weddings I got to be a part of this year. This one was no exception!

An Intimate Lynchburg Wedding – From Greenhouse to Downtown

Rozalyn and Jason rocked their beautiful greenhouse wedding in Lynchburg, Virginia. I’ve missed living in Lynchburg at times because it truly is such a beautiful place and a wonderful place to raise a family. I enjoyed my many years there before returning to Virginia Beach. I was so happy when Rozalyn reached out about her wedding at The Vaughan House. It is a beautiful greenhouse out in Forest, Virginia owned by Megan and Mitch Vaughan. Getting ready at The Virginian Hotel is also my favorite!

It couldn’t have been more perfect for them, and I’m so happy to share some of my favorite images with you! Hoping I can keep up with the blogging because I have so many fabulous weddings to share!

It’s been so long since I’ve blogged. I actually went back through my galleries and realized how many beautiful images I have kept to myself and I really want to start sharing them with the world. Covid came through and like for many of us, I took a major setback and had to turn towards other things. I’m so thankful to be getting back on track and I wanted to put together a post letting everyone know that beach sessions are back and in full swing!

This was one of my favorite beach sessions. I love how each session at the beach truly becomes its own because the sky is always different, unique, and beautiful.

Summer Beach Sessions – Virginia Beach Photographer

Liz is a Virginia Beach based wedding and portrait photographer. For the past 6 years, she has spent time photographing all across the east coast.

A Lexington, Virginia Mountain Wedding

Tucked away in the mountains of Virginia is a beautiful new venue called The Seclusion. It couldn’t have been a more perfect place for Kristen and David to have their wedding. Now, I’ve known David’s family for a long time, we grew up in the same area of Virginia Beach and when he reached out to ask me about photographing their wedding – I was so excited to be able to be a part of this day.

They were able to plan this amazing fall wedding in less than 6 months and it all came together so perfectly. All the trees were at the height of their fall foliage and it was something that not everyone gets to have on their wedding day. Kristen is probably one of the most sincere and kind people I have ever met, I can absolutely see what everyone else sees in her. Together – I know they will have all the love they could ever need to grow their marriage into everything God has in store for them.

To the Wickre and Vlattas families – thank you for allowing me to be a part of this day with you all. I loved every second of it and I will not soon forget it.

A Downtown Richmond Wedding

Wedding season is winding down which means I am in the thick of editing – I probably don’t have time to be blogging, but I’m doing it anyway because I just have to share. I just finished this beautiful Richmond wedding at The Commonwealth Club and it was so beautiful to edit these. In all my weddings, I have never seen a bride light up with a smile in each moment of the day. Bridget’s smile is so contagious and I love how much Chris makes her laugh. The day started at The Jefferson Hotel with the guys while the girls got ready at home.  The reception hall was absolutely stunning with gorgeous uplighting which always makes for amazing reception images. I hope I will get to be back there again soon for another amazing day.

Bridget and Chris – I adore you and I have so much awe for your faith and love. I wish all the joy and happiness for you both.

The last weekend in September brought a beautiful D.C. wedding at City Winery. All I really want is someone to look at me the way that Audrey and Nick look at each other. You can just feel the ease of their love. I hadn’t met Audrey and Nick before their wedding day, but I immediately felt right at home. Their family and friends were so welcoming and also hilarious. The day started at the Marriott Marquis with the ladies while the guys got ready at home. They had a beautiful ceremony at Holy Rosary Catholic Church right in the heart of the city. Then we traveled over to City Winery for a party! The rooftop patio at City Winery is absolutely beautiful. I loved every second of this day. The photos speak for themselves, so I will stop blabbing on about it. I can’t wait to get back to Washington D.C. in the spring for another wedding. Always a treat to be there!

Audrey and Nick – I wish all the happiness in the world for you both. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with me.

A true Washington D.C. love story
