The last weekend in September brought a beautiful D.C. wedding at City Winery. All I really want is someone to look at me the way that Audrey and Nick look at each other. You can just feel the ease of their love. I hadn’t met Audrey and Nick before their wedding day, but I immediately felt right at home. Their family and friends were so welcoming and also hilarious. The day started at the Marriott Marquis with the ladies while the guys got ready at home. They had a beautiful ceremony at Holy Rosary Catholic Church right in the heart of the city. Then we traveled over to City Winery for a party! The rooftop patio at City Winery is absolutely beautiful. I loved every second of this day. The photos speak for themselves, so I will stop blabbing on about it. I can’t wait to get back to Washington D.C. in the spring for another wedding. Always a treat to be there!

Audrey and Nick – I wish all the happiness in the world for you both. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with me.

A true Washington D.C. love story

A Montfair Resort Wedding

Holly and Alyssa had the most beautiful wedding day at Montfair Resort in Crozet, Virginia. They were surrounded by family and friends and beautiful views of the mountains. I was so happy to have been there to share in the joy that came with their day. Montfair is a beautiful place tucked away in Crozet with gorgeous mountain views. The rain held off and the skies were absolutely beautiful. From William and Mary to studying abroad, they found love and laughter with each other. Alyssa’s love for music was incorporated into their day when he friends sang during the ceremony. It was such a wonderful day. I can’t say enough about these two. It couldn’t have been more perfect for them.

 Virginia Wedding at Sierra Vista

I’m so excited to share this day on the blog! Jen and Braden found me by way of A Little Party Events and when I heard they were having their wedding at Sierra Vista – I knew I couldn’t pass this day up. For those of you not local to Lynchburg, Sierra Vista is possibly the best view in the area. Marianne, who owns and operates the venue, has done a phenomenal job making this a truly special place to get married. We got to have Jen and Braden’s engagement session there and that’s when Jen told me that they picked this venue for the beautiful mountain view, so we put a lot of emphasis on making those images priority (who wouldn’t?!). While it’s easy to see that they make a gorgeous couple – Jen and Braden are two of the most genuine and kind hearted people I’ve had a chance to photograph. It was a dream of a day, and one I won’t soon forget.

Love in Cape Chuck

Tucked away in Cape Charles is a beautiful place called Elkington Events. It is stunning – and Shelby and Kevin couldn’t have had a more perfect day there. It started with groomsmen in “chubbies” and a walk to the beach and a beautiful first look on the water. Then we were off for a ceremony on the water in the shade of the trees. Cape Charles is a place Kevin’s family has always visited and I learned that all the cool kids call it, “Cape Chuck.” Shelby planned an amazing day and I learned that she too is an Eagles fan, which made me love her even more. My favorite thing about this day was how vast and beautiful Elkington was, but how it gave off this amazingly intimate feeling of being together. It was awesome.

A May Wedding at West Manor

I just wrapped up 8 weddings in 8 weeks and I’m so excited to actually have a chance to finally sit down and go back through all these beautiful days. Lindsey and Matt had an absolutely stunning day at West Manor Estate. The pops of color were so perfect – and so very Lindsey. She is bubbly and fun and I love being around her family. It was a gorgeous day in May to have an outdoor wedding. I had so much fun with them.
